The N6NMZ repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and is located at 3,000 feet in the mountains between the Sacramento Valley near Williams and Clear Lake, California. Coverage extends from Sacramento in the south to Redding in the north. West into the Clear Lake area and east to Donner Summit.

The repeater consists of a modified GE MVP mobile radio running about 20 watts, an RLC-4 controller, Angle Linear preamp, and a Motorola BPBR duplexer. There is also a 10" Telewave bandpass cavity on the receiver. The antenna is a Diamond X-50A vertical fed with a 25' run of 1/2" Andrews Heliax. Power is provided by a solar panel array charging a huge bank of batteries.
The repeater shares it's controller with the 224.260 repeater and a GE MVP 420mhz link radio.
