The KB6LCS repeater is open to all licensed amateur radio operators and is located at about 2,000 feet in the hills above Los Gatos. Coverage extends from Morgan Hill in the south to Richmond in the north. East into the Livermore Valley and west up highway 17.

This is the re-birth of the WA6HWT repeater and will be linked to the WA6HWT repeater in Grass Valley in the very near future. The repeater was forced to take a sabbatical while a commercial tower was being replaced. The link radio is a Motorola Mitrek which feeds an Antennex 5 element yagi.
The repeater is a modified GE mobile radio. The controller is a Link Comm RLC-4 with ports available for the link radios. The system uses an Astron RM-50 supply and a Celewave 4 cavity BPBR duplexer. The receiver is fed with a bipolar preamp through a 5" bandpass cavity. The transmitter feeds a DB Product Isolator and a 5" bandpass cavity before the duplexer. The antenna is a DB Product 8-bay dipole array located at about 65 feet on the new tower and is fed with 7/8" heliax.
